Customization
We modify the code. Not just the config.
Code-level customization, module-boundaried and version-controlled — so your customisations travel forward with every upgrade instead of breaking on them.
How it works
What makes customization different
Code-level
Maaya engineers edit source modules, tested and peer-reviewed — not end-user flags.
Module-boundaried
Customisations live at the module boundary so they can be swapped and upgraded cleanly.
Version-controlled
Every customisation carries a changeset, a ticket, and an author — auditable forever.
Upgrade-safe
Customisations are replayed onto each upgrade automatically, with a diff to review.
Tested
Customer-specific tests run on every release so the customisation can’t silently break.
Escrowed
Source and customisation set are escrowed with a third party for business-continuity clients.
What this actually means
Most ERPs sell "configuration." Configuration is a vendor-designed set of flags and dropdowns, which usually covers 60% of what you need. The remaining 40% forces you to either warp your operation or pay for a "custom development" line item that breaks on the next upgrade.
Maaya customisation is different. When we customise, we write code against your module — testable, reviewable, version-controlled code — and we own the forward compatibility. The next release includes your customisations by design, not by manual rework.
Where customers use it
- Industry-specific workflows — shade-based yarn pricing, kanban EDI with OEMs, recipe scaling with solvent tracking, poultry debeaking schedules.
- Country-specific compliance — GST e-invoicing, VAT returns, localised statutory reports.
- Branding — your brand tokens applied to the UI for internal user adoption.
- Agent policies — your agent tools, prompts, and guardrails.
What we don’t customise
- Core data-integrity rules.
- Security boundaries (RBAC, SSO, audit).
- Upgrade pathways.
Everything else is on the table.
