MaayaERP vs NetSuite

Oracle's cloud ERP with polished finance, or an operator-first platform with vertical depth?

A candid comparison of MaayaERP against Oracle NetSuite for mid-market operators. Where NetSuite wins, where Maaya wins, and how to decide.

TL;DR

Pick NetSuite if financial consolidation across multiple subsidiaries is the operational centre of gravity. Pick MaayaERP if vertical depth, AI agents, and customisation velocity matter more.

When NetSuite wins

  • You run 8+ legal entities with complex inter-company eliminations.
  • Your board requires NetSuite's brand on the finance stack for IPO prep.
  • You already have a NetSuite centre of excellence and switching cost is prohibitive.
  • You need packaged localisations for 10+ countries simultaneously.

When MaayaERP wins

  • You want vertical depth (poultry, restaurant, feed) without a bolt-on.
  • You want AI agents native across modules, not as a paid add-on.
  • Your ops and finance teams want to customise without a six-figure NetSuite implementer.
  • You want predictable pricing that doesn't balloon with user-count step functions.
  • You dislike being forced into biannual upgrades on Oracle's schedule.

The pricing gap

Over three years on 50 users, the all-in cost gap between NetSuite and MaayaERP is usually 3-5x. NetSuite's sticker price is not the issue — it's the escalators: OneWorld for multi-entity (+US$1,999/mo), Advanced Manufacturing (+US$999/mo), SuiteAnalytics (+US$499/mo), plus a 5-15% annual uplift at renewal.

Maaya pricing is module-bundled. Multi-entity is included. AI agents are included. Analytics is included. You pay for users, customisation scope, and hosting region.

Where NetSuite is unambiguously better

NetSuite is a finance product with ops capabilities. Maaya is an ops product with finance capabilities. That is a real distinction, not marketing.

If your operating reality is:

  • 8+ legal entities with inter-company eliminations across currencies
  • IFRS or US GAAP reporting with multi-book accounting
  • Board-level consolidation packs due within 5 business days of month-end
  • IPO-track with a Big-4 auditor relationship

— NetSuite is the safer choice. Maaya can cover this, but the setup effort is higher and the finance team needs to be comfortable with a less-mature consolidation UI.

Where MaayaERP wins cleanly

Vertical depth. If you run a poultry processing business, a feed mill, a restaurant chain, or a livestock farm, Maaya has a purpose-built product on the same platform. NetSuite has SuiteSuccess industry templates — which are configuration packs on top of the generic engine, not purpose-built modules.

Customisation velocity. Maaya engineers write TypeScript against an unlocked codebase. NetSuite partners write SuiteScript against documented but guarded extension points. Over a three-year horizon this is the difference between 10x and 2x customisation throughput.

AI agents. Maaya ships AI agents native to the platform — they read your data, propose actions, and log everything. NetSuite Text Enhance and NetSuite Analyst are real products, but they're additive licenses and the feature envelope is narrower.

Migration pattern

Typical NetSuite to Maaya migration is 10-14 weeks:

  1. Discovery (2-3 weeks). Extract masters, chart of accounts, open transactions. Re-model consolidation logic if multi-entity.
  2. Configure (6-10 weeks). Stand up Maaya. Re-implement saved searches as Maaya views. Port SuiteScripts to Maaya functions.
  3. Parallel + cutover (1-2 weeks). One full month-end parallel, then cut.

Most customers keep NetSuite CRM and move only ops + finance. Dual-stack is a legitimate pattern.

Honest caveats

  • If your finance team has been on NetSuite for 5+ years, the UX shift to Maaya is real. Budget 4-6 weeks of adjustment.
  • We do not currently match NetSuite's SuiteAnalytics for ad-hoc multi-dimensional analysis. If that is core to your month-end, factor in 3-4 custom reports.
  • Oracle's global data centre footprint is larger than ours. For sub-50ms latency in South America or Australia, we may route through shared infrastructure.

Pricing

NetSuite list pricing starts at US$999 per month plus US$99 per user per month, with escalators as you add modules (CRM, OneWorld, Advanced Manufacturing). Maaya pricing is module-bundled with no separate charges for AI or multi-entity.

Migration path

NetSuite to Maaya migrations typically take 10-14 weeks. Maaya extracts via SuiteScript and CSV exports; inter-company eliminations and multi-book accounting are re-modelled during discovery.

FAQ

About NetSuite and Maaya.

Don’t see yours? Ask us directly.

  • Does MaayaERP match NetSuite's financial depth?

For single-entity, sub-₹5000 Cr operations, yes — we cover multi-book, consolidation, GST / VAT, revenue recognition, and period-close workflows. For 10+ subsidiary consolidations with complex IFRS eliminations, NetSuite remains the stronger choice.

  • Can we keep our existing NetSuite CRM and just move operations?

Yes. Maaya integrates with NetSuite via REST / SOAP — a common pattern for customers who keep sales on NetSuite CRM while running inventory, production, and ops on Maaya.

  • What about NetSuite's 2200+ SuiteApps?

Maaya has a smaller integration ecosystem but a deeper customisation surface. For most mid-market ops needs (payments, banking, logistics, e-invoicing) we have native integrations. For niche add-ons, we build them in-sprint rather than licensing them.
