About this role

PoultryCare is the operational intelligence platform for commercial poultry — hatcheries, broiler farms, layer operations, and processing plants — and the largest product in the Maaya Pi Family. We're hiring a Digital Marketing Executive in Namakkal to run PoultryCare's digital presence across every channel poultry operators actually use: social, WhatsApp, email, local search, and SEO. Entry-level role with a structured path to Marketing Lead over 18–24 months.

What you'll do

  • Run PoultryCare's social presence across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
  • Run WhatsApp broadcast campaigns to segmented customer and prospect lists
  • Send email campaigns — newsletters, product updates, lead nurture sequences
  • Publish blog posts and submit articles to poultry industry publications and directories
  • Maintain Google My Business listings and post weekly local updates
  • Design social posts and creative in Canva; edit short-form video (Shorts, Reels)
  • Generate and follow up on leads from all channels, with clean tracking in Google Sheets or CRM
  • Build and optimize SEO landing pages targeting operator search intents
  • Capture NDP — Need, Desire, Problem — from every customer and prospect interaction
  • Visit customer farms, hatcheries, and processing plants at least monthly
  • Partner with sales, product, and implementation teams to surface real customer stories

What we're looking for — the ASK

The bar to apply. If most of these match, send us your application — we look at signal, not box-ticking.

  • 0–2 years of marketing, writing, or content-adjacent work (internships and freelance count)
  • Clear written English for a professional operator audience
  • Canva for clean graphics (or Figma / similar)
  • Basic video editing for Shorts / Reels — trimming, captions, thumbnails
  • Working familiarity with at least two of: Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Ads, Google Analytics, Mailchimp / Brevo, Google My Business
  • WhatsApp Business or broadcast tool experience (used personally or professionally)
  • SEO fundamentals — keywords, on-page, search intent
  • Organized follow-up discipline — clean Google Sheets or CRM hygiene
  • Willingness to be based in Namakkal (or relocate from a nearby TN city)
  • Genuine curiosity about the poultry industry as a domain

Nice to have

Strong signals, not blockers.

  • Tamil reading / writing fluency (Hindi is a plus for North India markets)
  • Prior exposure to B2B SaaS, agri-tech, or industrial SMB marketing
  • Family or professional background in poultry, feed, or South Indian agriculture
  • A portfolio of written work — personal blog, LinkedIn presence, college magazine writing, freelance articles
  • Prior use of AI writing tools (Claude, ChatGPT) in real marketing work
  • MBA / PGDM / BBA in Marketing or Communications
  • Familiarity with Business Model Canvas / Jobs-to-be-Done frameworks
  • Email marketing automation experience (drip sequences, segmentation)

The full story

A longer narrative from the hiring manager — context, year-one outcomes, and how we work.

Why this role exists

PoultryCare is the operational intelligence platform for commercial poultry — hatcheries, broiler farms, layer operations, and processing plants. It is one of six products in the Maaya Pi Family, and the largest by revenue. The people running poultry operations in India and across 13 countries are finding us mostly through word-of-mouth today. That works, but it's slow.

We are hiring a Digital Marketing Executive to turn PoultryCare into a name poultry operators find before they're ready to buy — on search, on social, in WhatsApp groups, in their inbox, and when they Google "poultry software near me". You are the person who makes sure that when a layer-farm owner in Namakkal or a hatchery manager in Erode starts looking for better software, PoultryCare is already on their radar.

This is a growth role on a growth product. You'll learn marketing by doing marketing. You'll work directly with the PoultryCare product lead and with Janagaran, Maaya's founder, on content direction. You are not the only marketer at Maaya, but you are the first one focused specifically on PoultryCare.

If you do this well, the next step is PoultryCare Marketing Lead — owning the full marketing strategy for the product.

What you'll do

Meet poultry operators on every channel they actually use. Operators in Namakkal, Erode, Salem, and across India don't all live on LinkedIn. They're active in WhatsApp groups, they Google local services, they get emails from their equipment suppliers, they scroll Facebook and Instagram between shifts. Your job is the full channel mix — LinkedIn and YouTube for industry-wide reach, Facebook and Instagram for day-to-day visibility, Twitter for announcements, WhatsApp broadcasts for direct customer touch, Google My Business for local search, email newsletters for retention, and article submissions to industry publications for credibility.

Publish consistently and on brand. The Maaya and PoultryCare voice is evidence-first, specific, and respectful of the operator's time. No "revolutionary," no "synergy." You'll write blog posts, social posts, email campaigns, WhatsApp messages, and video scripts. You'll design simple graphics in Canva. You'll edit short-form video — YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels — with captions and thumbnails. You'll pick the voice up quickly — we have a brand guide and a Claude Coworker setup to help you draft faster without losing it.

Listen systematically — capture NDP. One task on this role is unusual, and it's important. Every customer call, WhatsApp reply, campaign response, and sales conversation contains signal — a Need, a Desire, or a Problem — that belongs in our Business Model Canvas and feeds the next round of campaigns and content. You'll maintain the NDP log, tag the patterns, and bring the strongest signals to weekly marketing review. This is how good marketing gets sharper over time — by actually listening, not by guessing.

Generate and follow up on leads across every channel. Awareness is half the job. You'll turn visitors, subscribers, and WhatsApp recipients into qualified leads — through targeted content, SEO pages that rank for what operators search, LinkedIn and Meta lead-gen campaigns, email sequences, and landing pages that speak operator vocabulary (hatchability, FCR, bird placement) instead of generic ERP-speak. You'll maintain clean lead tracking in Google Sheets or CRM and follow up without dropping the ball. We measure you on qualified leads per week, not impressions.

Run local search and local credibility. Google My Business for the Namakkal office, regular GMB posts, directory submissions, and guest articles in poultry publications. This is unglamorous work that compounds — and it's the work that makes PoultryCare findable by the operator searching "poultry software Tamil Nadu" on their phone.

Progress toward Marketing Lead. Over 18–24 months, you'll move from executing campaigns to planning them, from writing single posts to owning the PoultryCare content calendar, from running one channel to coordinating across the full mix. The path is explicit. Each quarter we'll tell you what "ready for Lead" looks like and where you are.

What you'll have accomplished by year one

Not "grow in your role." Real outcomes:

  • Established PoultryCare's consistent rhythm of publishing across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube
  • Built a regular cadence of short-form video (Shorts and Reels) that operators recognise and watch
  • Running WhatsApp broadcast campaigns as a reliable monthly channel, with clean segmentation of customer and prospect lists
  • Running email campaigns — newsletters, product updates, and lead nurture — as a steady-state channel
  • Maintaining PoultryCare's Google My Business presence with regular local posts
  • Published long-form content on PoultryCare's site, with guest articles and directory listings extending reach into industry publications
  • Launched SEO landing pages targeting operator search intents, with evidence of ranking progress
  • Delivering a steady flow of qualified leads into the sales team from the full channel mix
  • Maintaining the NDP log as a live source of customer signal — and at least a handful of campaigns that directly reflect what customers told us
  • Built working relationships with the sales, product, and implementation teams, and with customer advocates whose stories you can tell on our channels
  • Owning at least one marketing channel end-to-end

You get quarterly reviews against these outcomes. If you're ahead, we accelerate your path to Lead. If you're behind, we sit together and figure out what's in the way. Specific targets get set each quarter based on what the business needs — not pre-committed on a job post before you've started.
