Emerging Talent
If you're starting out, Maaya is one of the few places in South India that will let you go deep.
For final-year B.Tech / BE / MCA / MBA students, and candidates with 0–2 years of experience. Real work, real mentors, real customers — from day one.
What we offer
Three programs. Real work in every one.
Maaya Apprenticeship
6 months · paid
Intensive apprenticeship with a dedicated mentor. For candidates who have completed their degree and want to specialize in enterprise ERP, product engineering, or implementation consulting. Cohort of 4–8 per year. Conversion to full-time at ~70% rate historically.
Summer Internship
8–10 weeks · paid
For final-year students. Real project, real team, real customer exposure. Named projects; no "intern tasks." You ship something a real Maayan would have shipped instead.
Final-Year Project Collaboration
Project length · academic credit
For engineering students whose final-year project could be done on a real Maaya problem. You get a real problem and Maaya mentorship; we get a potential future hire and a project worth defending.
How we find candidates
From colleges in Tamil Nadu we know — and from anyone who applies.
We have a long-standing relationship with engineering colleges across Tamil Nadu:
- Anna University and constituent colleges
- PSG Coimbatore, NIT Tiruchi, SSN, SRM, IIT Madras (specific programs)
- Namakkal-Salem belt: Muthayammal, KSR, Vivekanandha, Paavai
We also accept direct applications via the careers site, and we welcome referrals from current Maayans and alumni — irrespective of which college you went to.
How we evaluate
The same ASK framework, calibrated for early career.
Curiosity, ownership, the way you handle being wrong. At this stage, attitude predicts trajectory more than résumé does.
We evaluate on portfolio evidence and learning velocity. We do not expect you to know what a five-year engineer knows. We expect you to be able to learn it fast.
Solid fundamentals in your discipline. We will teach you our products, our customers, our domain.
What the first 18 months look like
Three stages of delegation. Honest progression.
We use the three-stage delegation model from the Culture Code (§8.6) as our mentorship spine. You move from "we review every step" to "you operate independently" on a clear schedule.
Stage 1 · Months 1–3
Foundation
Onboard into the team and the Pi Family. Pair daily with your mentor. Start contributing to small, well-scoped tasks. Stage 1 of the three-stage delegation model — you do the work, your mentor reviews everything.
Stage 2 · Months 4–9
Ownership
You own a defined area — a module, an account portfolio, a content surface. You ship customer-visible work weekly. Stage 2 of delegation — your mentor reviews outcomes, not every step.
Stage 3 · Months 10–18
Trust
You operate independently in your area, mentor someone newer than you, and contribute to the team's direction in your craft. Stage 3 of delegation — autonomy with accountability.
